Celebrate your hometown as wall art with this bold, graphic interpretation of Dirty Old Town.

Ewan MacColl originally wrote Dirty Old Town in 1949, inspired by the rough living conditions he witnessed in Salford at the time. Since then, many people have covered it, including The Dubliners and The Pogues, and even Rod Stewart (before he discovered leopard print pants).

The "croft" vs "wall" question?
The print reproduces the original lyrics as sung by Ewan MacColl*. Later artists adapted them slightly.

I found my love by the gasworks croft* / Dreamed a dream by the old canal / Kissed my girl by the factory wall / Dirty Old Town, Dirty Old Town
