From punk pioneers like The Velvet Underground, Television and Ramones to experimentalists like Swans, Teenage Jesus & The Jerks and Sonic Youth; from the holy trinity of hip hop to New York Hardcore pioneers like Agnostic Front and Cro-Mags.
From East Coast hip hop originals like Public Enemy and Beastie Boys to avantists like Glenn Branca and Laurie Anderson; and from thrash metal heroes like Anthrax and Nuclear Assault to The Notorious B.I.G. and NAS.
The print features more than 200 artists associated with the New York music scene across more than 10 genres. It also maps out key events, record labels, influential records, venues (e.g. Max's Kansas City, CBGB, Mudd Club, A7) and more.
